Cavities
Dogs can get cavities! It is rare and when it happens, it is very painful and nasty for the pet. The large red area you see on this tooth is an erosive lesion (cavity) in a dog's premolar. The tooth was so affected, it had to be surgical removed. The patient is much happier now that his tooth ache has resolved.
